Project Scope: The proposed system consists of an MFT 250IP3 XED Industrial Performance Friction Feeder to separate and feed your plastic pouch products from their stacked position in the vertical hopper of the feeder. The pouches are with following dimensions: 4.5" wide x 3.625" long; and 6" wide x 4" long. As the products are fed, they will be individually transported via the XED 14.76" length discharge assembly of the feeder. The customer requests a throughput speed ranging from 80 to 120 products per minute. Diligent testing has further revealed that the accessory items of the Infeed Vacuum Chamber Assembly with the L28 Vacuum Supply Complex, and Product Support Pneumatic Shaker Assembly, provide a fluid and most predictable feeding assist. A HDSR 1000-250 Heavy Duty Stand, which offers height adjustment and mobility, provides a secure base for this MFT 250IP3, CSA-Ready system. Upon being dispensed via the XED discharge assembly, the products will be transferred onto the dual-system labeling station for further processing. This line is currently in operation at this production site. Additional optional items as may be warranted and upon more stringent product testing requirements: Automatic Product Pre-loading Conveyor _ APL 1000-190 (3'3" long) for horizontal pre-loading of product, Accutipping Repeat w/Encoder for extreme precision in product lay-down, Serial Control with Cable provides for communication linkage to 3rd party components, a Stack-Light to alert of machine status at a glance, a Low Product sensor to alert prior to exhaustion of product, the Associated Spare Parts kit, Static Bar with Mount Assembly to minimize static, Product Index Support Curve to assist with quick product load set-up, and SIKO Position Indicators to provide quicker adjustments of product. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Following are the special conditions that will have been met to gain full acceptance and payment to this system(s) purchase: Goal as follows (per Gary Clatt email verbiage, November 25, 2020): 1. Average production for 5 minute period of time, equal to or greater than 100 units per minute. 2. Peak production rate up to 120 units per minute. 3. This could apply to both pouch sizes. With slight limitations to the larger pouches, placement improving can be achieved via increase conveyor speeds on the application device. They currently run between 16M/minute and 20M/minute but don’t see any issues going up to 22-24M/minute for belt speeds on the NITA machine Multifeeder quality requirements of customers pouch products include as follows: 1. Acceptable pouch flatness with their inherent cupping, upon removal from shipping container. 2. Criteria of acceptance will be created and jointly agreed upon. 3. Willingness of the customer to engage with their pouch supplier to receive better pouch product flatness. 4. Willingness of the customer to employ pre-conditioning techniques to promote better pouch product flatness. 5. Multifeeder will adhere to this acceptable criteria based upon successful testing results, but not beyond.
