Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology feeding and labeling system to apply labels onto backer cards as they travel on the discharge of the feeder at a rate of up to 250 per minute. This proposal is contingent upon a test of customer supplied samples. A Multifeeder Technology MFT 350 IP3 Industrial Performance Friction Feeder will gently separate your folded leaflets from and inclined stack and will transport them individually onto the 900mm (35.43") long open top vacuum discharge of the feeder. A Pneumatic Shaker will be mounted onto the rear support assembly of the feeder to reduce friction between the die cut cards as they are fed. A Multifeeder Impresso Labeling machine will be mounted over the discharge of the feeder to apply a label onto the backer cards as they travel on the discharge of the feeder. The Feeder and Impresso Labeler will be mounted onto an Integrated Stand on Rollers. A roll of labels is loaded on the unwind assembly. The unwind assembly gently unwinds the roll of labels to stage them to be applied. The labeler is equipped with brushless servo motor with computer control to accurately place the labels onto the products traveling below. A powered rewind is used to rewind the liner from the labels once complete. The labeler will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted onto the feeder to monitor its speed. As the speed of the feeder changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the labeler to ensure that the label is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the feeder. The labeled products will be fed one at a time into a Catch Tray Pan with Magnetic Side Guides where they will be stacked and accumulated. A Photo Optic Start Sensor will be utilized to signal the feed to replenish the tray once a stack is removed. The customer will provide a Static Reduction Bar will be mounted over the tray to reduce static on the products as they are stacked and accumulated. E-stops are included and the system will be configured to be stop on error. Both the feeder and Impresso Labeling machine run on 208-240 VAC Single Phase so a single Quad Plex is included to allow a single power connection for the entire system. The system also includes a Main Power Switch that supplies power to the entire system (labeler and feeder power). Multifeeder's Engineering team will create a system drawing for customer approval. System Integration includes a Factory Acceptance Test to verify system performance before shipment. System Integration and testing includes testing of all individual pieces to perform as one complete system. Integration also includes testing of the feeding performance of each product size at the rate specified. This proposal assumes that the customer will install and integrate the feeding and labeling system. Multifeeder can provide installation and integration services as an option at our standard rates. Options available: Options include a Spare Parts Kit, Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Installation.

Estimated to be done Wednesday. 10/1: Will send out samples 10/19. 9/24: Going back and forth on label liner questions. Think it is resolved. Pushing forward with clear product fork sensor. 9/17: Kicked off to ME yesterday. Layout drawing should be done by Tuesday.
