Project Scope: This proposal consists of two Multifeeder Technology Industrial Performance Friction Feeder systems as per your URS dated June 5th, 2020. One Multifeeder MFT 350 IP3 XED Friction Feeder will be utilized to feed and bar code verify carton blanks. The second Multifeeder MFT 250 IP3 XED Friction Feeder will be utilized to feed and bar code verify small folded paper inserts. This proposal included a quantity discount contingent upon separate ointment feeder system proposal # 31046 being purchased prior to an order being placed referencing this proposal. Carton Blank feeding and Bar Code verification system: A Multifeeder Technology MFT 350 IP3 feeding and verification system to feed and verify carton blanks for hand assembly at a rate of up to 90 per minute. A Multifeeder Technology MFT 350 feeder will gently separate your folded carton blanks from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder and will transport them individually onto the 375mm (14.76") long discharge of the feeder. The feeder will be equipped with 100% gearing to help create a spaced between the products as they travel on the discharge of the feeder. Two Index Rear Support Curves with linear scales will be utilized with support stack from the back as they are fed. A Pneumatic Shaker will be mounted onto the rear support assembly of the feeder to assist with product flow. A Bar Code verification system will scan the bar codes (6mm x 6mm 2D) on the top of the products as they travel on the feeder discharge. If a "No Read" or a "Bad Read" occurs the bar code reader system will signal the feeder to stop and declare a fault. The HMI on the Bar Code Reader will display the number of good and bad reads. An operator can next clear the product and reset the system. The feeder will feed the carton blanks into a Catch Tray Pan with Magnetic Side Guides where they will be stacked and accumulated. An operator can remove the stack from the tray and a Photo Optic Start Sensor will signal the feeder to replenish the tray once a stack is removed. The feeder can also be set in the demo mode to provide a set number of verified carton blanks per minute onto the existing conveyor for further processing. The MFT 350 can be mounted onto an optional HDSR 1000-350 Heavy Duty Stand on Rollers for height adjustment and mobility. Small Leaflet feeding and Bar Code verification system: A Multifeeder Technology feeding and verification system to feed and verify folded leaflets for hand insertion into a carton at a rate of up to 90 per minute. A Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 feeder will gently separate your folded leaflets from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder and will transport them individually onto the 375mm (14.76") long discharge of the feeder. A Bar Code verification system will scan the Bar Codes (6mm x 6mm 2D) on the products as they travel on the feeder discharge. If a "No Read" or a "Bad Read" occurs the bar code reader system will signal the feeder to stop and declare a fault. An operator can next clear the product and reset the system. The feeder will feed a leaflet into a Catch Tray Pan with Magnetic Side Guides for operator pick up. Once a leaflet is removed, a Photo Optic Start Sensor will be mounted in the tray to signal the feeder to replenish the tray once a leaflet is removed. The feed can also be set in the demo mode to provide a set number of verified leaflets per minute onto the existing conveyor for further processing. The feeder will be equipped a standard in feed magazine as well as a set of small product change parts to run your 40mm x 42mm product. The MFT 250 can be mounted onto an optional HDSR 1000-250 Heavy Duty Stand on Rollers for height adjustment and mobility.
