Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 IP3 Industrial Performance Friction Feeding system to present ointment packets onto the belted in feed of a check weigher with consistent repeat at a rate of up to 90 per minute. A Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 IP3 Friction Feeder will gently separate your folded carton blanks from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder and will transport them individually onto the 375mm (14.76") long discharge of the feeder. The MFT 250 will be equipped with an optional Vacuum Track Assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber to allow the feeder to better grip the products as they are fed (house vacuum supply). The feeder will be equipped with small product change parts and 100% gearing to accommodate feeding the small liquid filled pouch. A Pneumatic Shaker will be mounted onto the rear support assembly of the feeder to assist with product flow. The feeder will be set to present the packets onto the conveyor with consistent repeat using Backer Repeat Controls consisting of an encoder mounted to the base machine to monitor its speed. The computer timing package of the feeder will vary its speed and time to be certain that the packets are placed onto the conveyor with consistent repeat regardless of its speed. The feeder system can be set to feed a specific batch, then pause, then repeat.
