Project Scope: First, product is transferred from your folding unit to the Multifeeder supplied transfer conveyor. The transfer conveyor transfers product into the first feeder for buffer. The first MFT 250 HCP feeder with open discharge collects product from the transfer conveyor. The Collator is running faster than the product coming off the folding unit, so the feeder will pause when the stack in the infeed gets lower than the optimum stack height. Once the optimum stack height is achieved, then the feeder will be allowed to feed a product into the continuous motion collator. Once in the collator, the product will be pushed by a lug and carried under the glue system. The glue system has dual nozzles to allow for a single or dual glue line on the product. After glue is applied, the second feeder will place a product onto a shelf. The lug will then peel the second product off the shelf, registering it to the first product. The finished glued product will then transfer off the collator into the stacker with the aide of a transfer conveyor.
Notes: CCL WO 2020091 12/17: FAT approved with punch list. Plan to ship on 12/23. 12/10: Changes starting to gel. More testing and hoping to have Joseph out end of the week next week. 12/3: Got video of the first product. Changed over to 2nd product. Should have filmed today and then change over to the 3rd product. On track for FAT. 11/19: Collator lowered. Samples were delivered yesterday. Getting it ready for FAT. 11/12: Pushing for 12/3 FAT date. 11/5: Send videos to customer late last week. Peter talked to Joe, sounds happy. Putting together a game plan/prep for FAT. 10/29: Ben working on it. Getting close. Think it's working. Need buy in from customer. 10/22:Issue with clutch on collator. Had to remove two pieces from collator. Getting it re-dialed in. 10/15: Integration continuing to make good progress. Will be working to integrate small conveyor to upstream feeder. 10/8: No change. Making progress. Changing over to wider product. Matt, Tuan and Ben went on a service trip this morning and then will be back on this. 10/1: Making good progress 9/24: Making a little bit of progress in Integration. Once Keystone and Japs-Olson are done Matt will move back to this one. 9/17: Integration making good progress. Hopeful to start gluing samples together today. 9/10: Reviewed next steps. Matt will prep machine towards having machine ready for promotional video. 8/27: Worked on it over the weekend. Collator working as we would expect. Some heat issue. 8/20: Changing sprockets from collator from plastic to metal. Peter looking to do continued validation. 8/14: We were able to complete phase 1 testing with the new collator and feeder and produce a short video with the smallest product excluding the infeed conveyor and the glue system. Video was sent to Joseph at CCL to show progress. Still a large amount of work to be done. 8/6: Working through hurdles with collator and feeder. Continue to work through. 7/30: Peter doing testing with Joel and Erik. Side guide issues. 7/23: New Samples arrived this morning. We do have issue with the combo pulleys on the feeders. We'll review with Peter Monday when he is back. Will check to see if we have stock discharge drive belt combo pulleys in stock to replace. Will come up with a solution on Monday. Hopeful to begin integration on CCL collator starting next week. 7/16: Updated lugs for collator are in inspection. Feeders being built. One in burn in. Waiting for material for lug support. 7/9: In production. First feeder is being worked on but not complete. 7/2: The collator is being built in Production by Erik. Have run into a few issues that Erik is working with Curt on. Will take photos of the progress and send to CCL this afternoon. 6/25: Collator is pulled and in Production. Just need feeder to be picked and Production will get started. 6/18: Parts should be arriving soon. 6/11: Sheet metal parts have arrived. Still a lot of parts outstanding. 6/4: Majority of collator parts should be here the week of 6/15. Parts for feeders are due in week of 6/22. will begin building after receiving most of collator parts. 5/28: No update. Waiting for collator parts, etc. 5/21: Processed. Building one new and used for the other. 5/14: Released to procurement earlier this week. Using show feeder as base feeder. 5/7: Everything on order except belts (collator). 4/30: Met as a team earlier this week. 1/3 of the way through excel workorder for review. Layout drawing was finished on Tuesday.
