Project Scope: The proposed system consists of two Multifeeder Technology MFT 550 IP3 WD XED Industrial Performance Series Wash Down Friction Feeder systems to each feed chipboard sheets (one or two) into a customer-supplied and integrated tray at a rate of up to 30 per minute. Each MFT 550 Friction Feeder will gently separate the chipboard sheets from an inclined stack and will transfer them one at a time onto the 375mm (14.76") long discharge of the feeder. A Heavy Duty Rear Support Assembly will be used to support the stack of product from the back as they are fed. The sheets will be transferred one at time onto the 375mm (14.76") discharge of the feeder. The feeder will be signaled to feed either one or two sheets into a customer supplied and integrated tray and will provide back feeder status using a 10m (33ft) Standard Interface Cable Assembly. Each feeder will be equipped with Stainless steel cases, hex head fasteners, connectors, a wash down motor, and cables to accommodate wash down. The MFT 550 WD Friction feeder use case inside of a case design to allow for cleaning with water, steam, chemicals, or a mixture of them. Also included is a Stack Light Assembly for machine status at a glance as well as a Wash Down Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly. A UL Certification UL508a/NFPA79 field evaluation is included. Quick Lock Handles are included for the Side Guides and Heavy Duty Rear support Assembly of the feeder to allow a tool free change over between the two sizes specified. Also included are welded four (4) tapped welded bosses to the back side of each of the feeder controls cabinets (2 total cabinets)in the same location as the pre-designed mounting holes. A drawing with the specifications of the boss location, size, diameter, and tapped hole size has been provided to Jonathan Lui at JLS Automation and this drawing has been approved. This proposal assumes that the customer will mount, install, and integrate the feeders with the existing conveyor. As an option Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option. Options available: Each feeder can be mounted onto an optional Wash Down Stand on Rollers. Other options include a Spare Parts Kit and Standard Feeder Installation.
Notes: JLS Automation WO 2020029 3/26: TUV here today for UL testing. Videos completely by tomorrow morning at the latest. Hoping to ship Monday or Tuesday next week. 3/19: Motors are back in. Waiting for control box. Ryan working on control box. Will put Version 4 in one of the controls boxes while testing with the other. UL testing next Thursday 3/26 3/12: Having issues with washdown motors. One was sent back to Powermation. Two installed in the feeders are tripping breakers. Also may need to go back. If only one motor is good from stock have to reach out to JLS to see if they want just one machine first. 3/5: Outstanding pulleys came in this morning. Short motor cables for one feeder. 2/27: Been pulled for production. Still need a few items. Can fully build first machine. UL testing 3/26. 2/20: No change. Waiting on parts. UL testing scheduled for 3/26. 2/13: Will be able to ship both in March assuming motor cables come in in time. Should be in the last week of March. 2/6: Check is mailing today. Everything on order. 1/30: Down payment will be processed next week. 1/23: Kicked off early this week. In procurement to order
