Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology feeding and labeling system to label flat cartons at a rate of up to 50 per minute. The MFT 550 IP Friction Feeder will gently separate your products from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder. As the products are fed, they will be transported individually onto the 900mm (35.64") long discharge of the feeder. Left and Right Discharge Side guide will be used to register the products side to side as they travel on the discharge of the feeder. A Pneumatic Shaker will be mounted on the rear support assembly of the feeder to assist with product flow. A Multifeeder PA 150 Print and Apply Labeling machine will be positioned inline with respect to flow over the discharge of the feeder to print and apply a label onto the cartons as they travel on the discharge of the feeder with a tamp applicator. The Print and Apply Labeling machine will be equipped with a standard print engine. The feeder and Labeler will be mounted onto an integrated Heavy Duty Stand on Rollers for height adjustment and mobility. The Print and Apply labeling machine will be configured with a SATO S 84ex print engine that can accept print file from your bartender software and can also accommodate resin based ribbon. Both the feeder and PA 150 Print and Apply Labeling machine run on 208-240 VAC Single Phase so a single Quad Plex is included to allow a single power connection for the entire system. The system also includes a Main Power Switch that supplies power to the entire system(labeler and feeder power). The labeled cartons will be transferred onto a customer supplied tote for further processing. Multifeeder's Engineering team will create a system drawing for customer approval. System Integration includes a Factory Acceptance Test to confirm system performance before shipment. System Integration and testing includes testing of all individual pieces to perform as one complete system. Integration also includes testing of the feeding performance of each product size at the rate specified. This proposal includes testing the smallest and largest product sizes for a Factory Acceptance Test. Additional sizes can be tested as an option at additional investment. This proposal assumes that the customer will install the feeding and labeling system at their facility. Multifeeder can provide mounting, integration, and installation services as an option at our standard rates. Options available: Options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.
Notes: Abbott WO 2020039 4/30: FAT video is approved. Filming change over/set up video now. Goal to ship tomorrow. Sent a quote for delivery on Sat. or Monday. Waiting for response. 4/24: Completed 3 of 4 products for FAT video before the PLC died. Waiting for it to fully back online before we can complete the video. 4/23: Working and hoping to have a video by end of the day today. Need to finish docking from labeler to discharge. Noticing static. If we need a static bar will work with doing a change order. New WO 2020089 in relation to this order. Is it the customer's intent to delay this shipment to go with new order? 4/16: Received new label samples. Worked well. Short a part. Waiting for tamp pad (at plating). Customer agreed to video FAT. 4/9: Feeder is mounted to the stand and has been validated. Difficulty with label samples. Clay emailed them on Monday on challenges with labels. They are checking with their supplier. 4/2: RL Craig stands should arrive today. Production starting tomorrow or Monday 3/26: Labels being delayed slightly. Hoping to have them next week. Ryan will do final testing with print and apply labeler once they arrive. 3/19: Labels should arrive next week. No change. 3/12: Box samples are here. Updated label samples are due to arrive next week. Waiting on components for print and apply labeler. 3/5: No update. 2/27: No update. 2/20: Everything on order. Using a lot of existing equipment. 2/13: Had kick off on Monday. Mark sent request on Tuesday for orientation change for labeler. Waiting for confirmation. Clay sent layout drawing yesterday assuming everything is accurate. 2/6: Kicking off this afternoon.
