Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 750 IP3 XED Industrial Performance Friction Feeder system to tip folded paper inserts onto base products traveling on an existing Folder Gluer machine at a rate of up to 60 per minute. The MFT 750 feeder will gently separate your products (up to 700mm or 27.55 wide) from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder. As the products are fed, they will be transported individually onto the 375mm (14.76") long discharge of the feeder. Two Heavy Duty Rear Support Assemblies will be used to support the stack from the back as they are fed. Left and Right Discharge Side Guides will be used to register the products side to side as they travel on the discharge of the feeder. A Pneumatic Shaker will be mounted onto the rear support assembly of the feeder to assist with product flow. The Moll machine will feed a base product, a glue machine shall apply glue to the base product, and the MFT 750 IP3 SLD Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed a product onto the spot glued surface of the product traveling below by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. The MFT 750 IP will feed the tip on product into the pinch point of a top belt assembly on the Moll machine to assure a positive transfer from the feeder onto the base product traveling below. The feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor its speed. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the tip on insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This proposal assumes that Moll will mount, install, and integrate the feeder with the Moll folder gluer machine. Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates. Options Available: Options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.
