Project Scope: The proposed system consists of two Multifeeder Technology MFT 350 IP3 ED Industrial Performance Series Friction Feeder systems to tip pouches onto base products traveling on an existing transport conveyor. This proposal includes a sales incentive for an order placed on or before May 31st, 2019. Each MFT 350 IP3 ED Industrial Performance Friction Feeder will gently separate your products from in feed hopper of the feeder and will transport them individually onto the 200mm (7.87") long discharge of the feeder. A Vacuum Track Assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber can be used to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed (house vacuum supply). The feeder will be configured with 50% gearing to allow the discharge of the feeder to travel 50% faster than the feed belt section to help best separate the pouches as they are fed. a Pneumatic Shaker will be used to help align the pouches in the in feed magazine prior to when they are fed. Optional Left and Right Discharge Side Guides can be purchased to register the products side to side as they travel on the discharge of the feeder. A Pneumatic Shaker mounted to the Rear Support Assembly will be used to assist with product flow. Base products will travel on an existing transport conveyor, a glue machine shall apply glue to the base product, and the MFT 350 IP3 ED Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed a product onto the spot glued surface of the product traveling below by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. The MFT 350 will feed the tip on product into the pinch point a customer supplied Pressure Roller Assembly to assure a positive transfer from the feeder onto the base product traveling below. Each feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the tip on insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This proposal assumes that customer will mount, install, and integrate the feeder with the existing transport conveyor. Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates. Options Available: An optional Multifeeder supplied vacuum supply can be used to supply vacuum. An optional Electronic Interface Box Assembly can be used to signal the host machine to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.
