Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology Industrial Performance feeding and labeling integrated system, to apply labels to carton blanks and pouches at various speeds, dependent on product characteristics. The Multifeeder Technology MFT 350 IP3 Friction Feeder will gently separate your products from an inclined stack and will transfer them one at a time onto the 900mm (35.43") long split top discharge of the feeder. The feeder will be equipped with a Vacuum Track Assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. The products will travel on the 900mm (35.43") long extended split top discharge one at a time. An Impresso Labeling machine will be straddle mounted over the discharge to label the product as they travel on the discharge of the feeder. A roll of labels (up to 20" in diameter) is loaded on the unwind, which gently unwinds the roll of labels with to stage them to be applied. The labeler is equipped with a brushless servo motor and with computer control to supervise the labels as they travel through the labeling machine. The labels will exit the peel plate and will be applied onto the product that are traveling below. The labeler will be signaled to apply a label onto the base-fed products by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. The labeled pouches will be transferred into a customer supplied to the for further processing. The labeler will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the labeler to ensure that the label is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. The feeder and labeler will be mounted onto an integrated Stand on Rollers for height adjustment and mobility. Multifeeder's Engineering team will create a system drawing for customer approval. System Integration and testing includes testing of all individual pieces to perform as one complete system. Integration also includes testing of the feeding performance of each product size at the rate specified. A Factory Acceptance Test with customer supplied samples will be done to verify system performance prior to shipment. This proposal assumes that the customer will install the feeding and labeling system. Multifeeder can provide installation services as an option at our standard rates.
