Project Scope: The proposed system consists of two Multifeeder Technology MFT 550 V3 XED Signature Series Friction Feeder systems to tip paper leaflets onto pans as they travel on an existing transport at a rate of up to 18 per minute. Each MFT 550 V3 feeder will gently separate your products from in feed hopper of the feeder and will transport them individually onto the 375mm (14.86") long discharge of the feeder. A Heavy Duty Rear Support Assembly (HD 425) will be used to support the stack from the back as they are fed. Pans will travel on your existing transport, a glue machine shall apply glue to the base product, and the MFT 550 V3 XED Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed a product onto the spot glued surface of the product traveling below by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. Each feeder will be configured with Easy Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the tip on insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This proposal assumes that customer will mount, install, and integrate the feeder with the existing transport. Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates. Options Available: Each feeder can be mounted onto an optional Straddle Mount Assembly provided by Multifeeder. A Pneumatic Shaker can be used to assist with product flow as the products are fed. Optional Dual Vacuum Track Assemblies each consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber can be used to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. The feeder can feed the products into the pinch point of an optional pressure roller assembly. An optional Electronic Interface Box Assembly can be used to signal the existing transport to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.
