Project Scope: The proposed system consisting of three Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 IP3 Industrial Performance Friction Feeder systems to feed leaflets and packets into the flighted in feed of an existing Bosch wrapping machine at a rate of up to 180 per minute. The first MFT 250 IP3 Friction feeder will gently separate your packets from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder and will transport them individually onto the 375mm (14.86") long discharge of the feeder. The feeder will be configured with a vacuum track assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. A Pneumatic Shaker and 50% gearing will be used to assist with proper product flow. Left and Right Discharge Side Guides will be used to register the products side to side as they travel on the discharge of the feeder. The feeder will be equipped with an APL 2000-190 Automatic Product (inline with respect to the feeder) to allow for an optimum stack height in the in feed magazine of the feeder and for increased in feed magazine capacity. A sensor will be mounted in the in feed magazine of the feeder to signal the loader to replenish the stack when it drops below a pre-set level. The loader will be equipped with funnel side guides that are wider on the top to make replenishment of the loader more efficient. The products will be fed one a time with into the flighted in feed of an existing wrapping machine. The feeder and loader will be mounted onto a HDSR 1000-250 Heavy Duty Stand on Rollers. Two additional Multifeeder MFT 250 IP3 XED Industrial Performance Friction Feeders will be mounted onto a CSR 1000-250 Cantilever Stand on Rollers to each feed a second leaflet into the lugged in feed of the wrapping machine (inline with respect to flow). Each feeder will be configured with an XED 375mm (14.76") long discharge and will be tilted forward 15 degrees on the stand to allow both feeders to have an efficient foot print. Each feeder will be signaled to feed by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. Using the feeder signal period function, each feeder can feed every flight or every other flight of the wrapper's in feed. Both feeders will be configured with a vacuum track assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. A Pneumatic Shaker and 50% gearing will be used to assist with proper product flow. Each MFT 250 IP3 will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder mounted to the wrapping machine to monitor its speed. The computer compensation package of each feeder will adjust its speed and timing to be certain that a leaflet or pouch is placed accurately in the in feed of the wrapping machine regardless of its speed. An Electronic Interface Box Assembly (with standard M12 Cables) for three feeders will be used to signal the host machine to stop if any of the three feeders runs empty or has a fault. An encoder splitter box will be used so that a single encoder will be connected to the host machine for all three feeders. Multifeeder's Engineering team will create a system drawing for customer approval. System Integration includes a Factory Acceptance Test to confirm system performance before shipment. System Integration and testing includes testing of all individual pieces to perform as one complete system. Integration also includes testing of the feeding performance of each product size at the rate specified. This proposal assumes that the customer will mount, install, and integrate the feeder systems with the wrapping machine. Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates. Options Available: Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.
Notes: Access Bio WO 2018123 11/1: Replacement part for damage parts are completed and in shipping to ship out this week. 9/27: Crating for shipping tomorrow. 9/20: Hunter working and making good progress. 9/13: FAT pushed back to 9/25 per client request. 9/6: Updated FAT document and sent for approval. Should have approval this week. Hunter working on system. Will pause after today to work on Old Trapper. Should be back on this project 9/13. FAT 9/20. No concerns. 8/30: Jeremy has started Integration. Noticed discrepancy on WO. Swapping feedbelts and vacuum chambers from 30mm to 20mm wide. 8/23: Complete in production and moved to integration. Waiting on client to send in quantity samples for FAT run. Have small amount of samples. Hunter will work on when he returns. FAT scheduled for 9/20 8/16: Pulled and in production. Waiting on a few parts. Mostly stand related. 8/9: In queue to pick next. 8/2: Processed in procurement. 7/26: Clay clarified questions. Send signed layout drawing. Kick off will be scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. 7/19: Releasing to Clay tomorrow. 7/12: Kicked off to ME tomorrow. ME did a lot of layout work already.
