Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 350 IP3 ED Industrial Performance Friction Feeder system to tip packets and other products onto base products traveling on a folder gluer machine at a rate of up to 300 per minute. The MFT 350 IP3 feeder will gently separate your products from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder and will transport them individually onto the 200mm (7.87") long discharge of the feeder. The folder gluer machine will feed a base product, a glue machine shall apply glue to the base product, and the MFT 350 IP3 ED Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed a product onto the spot glued surface of the product traveling below by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. The MFT 350 IP3 will feed the tip on product into the pinch point of a top belt assembly on the folder gluer machine to assure a positive transfer from the feeder onto the base product traveling below. The feeder will be equipped with an APL 1000-290 (1000mm x 190mm) Automatic Product Loader (customer will supply the mounting for the product loader) to allow for an optimum stack height in the in feed magazine of the feeder and for increased in feed magazine capacity. A sensor will be mounted in the in feed magazine of the feeder to signal the loader to replenish the stack when it drops below a pre-set level. The MFT 350 IP3 will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the tip on insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This proposal assumes that the customer will mount, install, and integrate the feeder and Automatic Product Loader with the folder gluer machine. Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates. Options Available: An optional Electronic Interface Box Assembly will be used to signal the folder gluer machine to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. An optional Vacuum Track Assemblies consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber can be used to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. Other options include a Pneumatic Stack Shaker, a Remote Keypad Assembly, a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.
