Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 350 IP3 XED Industrial Performance Friction feeding system to feed batches of CR 80 into the flighted in feed of a customer supplied and integrated wrapping machine at a rate of up to 25 batches of 10 per minute. In addition the MFT 350 IP3 XED Industrial Performance Friction Feeder system can be used to tip products up to 300mm wide onto base products traveling on a Moll Folder Gluer machine. Application #1: The Multifeeder Technology MFT 350 IP3 Friction Feeder will separate CR 80 Cards from a stack and will transfer them one at a time onto the 375mm (14.76") discharge of the feeder. The products will be transferred one at a time into an ADT 350 Automatic Drop Table where they will be stacked and accumulated. The feeder drop table combination will be signaled to drop a stack into the flighted in feed by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. The feeder will be mounted onto a HDSR 1000-350 Stand on Rollers for height adjustment and mobility. Application #2: The Moll machine will feed a base product, a glue machine shall apply glue to the base product, and the MFT 350 IP3 XED Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed a product onto the spot glued surface of the product traveling below by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. The MFT 350 IP will feed the products into the pinch point of a top belt assembly on the Moll machine to assure a positive transfer from the feeder onto the base product traveling below. An Electronic Interface Box Assembly will be used to signal the Moll machine to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. The feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the tip on insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This proposal assumes that the customer will mount, install, and integrate the feeder system with the wrapping machine and Moll Folder Gluer machine. Multifeeder can provide installation and integration services as an option at our standard rates. Options Available: The feeder can be configured with an optional Vacuum Track Assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber to best grip the product as they are fed. Other options include a Low Product Sensor Assembly, a spare parts kit, and standard feeder installation. Impresso Sequence of Operation: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology Impresso Labeling machine to apply Velcro Labels onto backer cards that are traveling on a Moll Folder Glue machine at a rate of up to 250 per minute. Backer cards will travel on a Moll Folder Gluer Machine. A Multifeeder Impresso Labeling Machine will be mounted onto a Low Toe T-Base Stand over the Moll Machine and will be docked to the folder gluer. A Roll of labels (up to 20" in diameter) is loaded on the unwind, which gently unwinds the roll of labels with to stage them to be applied. The labeler is equipped with a brushless servo motor and with computer control to supervise the labels as they travel through the labeling machine. The labels will exit the peel plate and will be applied onto the backer cards that are traveling on the Moll Folder Gluer machine. The labeler will be signaled to apply a Velcro labels onto the backer card by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. The labeler will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the tip on insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This proposal assumes that Moll will mount and integrate the Impresso labeler with the Moll Folder Gluer machine. Multifeeder can provide mounting, integration, installation service as an option at our standard rates. Option Available: The Impresso Labeler can be upgraded from a 4" wide configuration to a 6" wide configuration or an 8" wide configuration at additional investment. An optional Relay Interface Box can be used to signal the Moll machine to stop if the labeler runs empty or has a fault. Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Labeler installation.
Notes: B&R Moll WO 2017184 1/25: Labeler in QA today. Plates should be here today. Will ship tomorrow. 1/18: Parts are done being plated. Coming back today. Clay is in daily contact with customer on updates. 1/11: Feeder and droptable in Integration. Labeler in production waiting on parts. 1/6:Clay has informed the client that the 8” LH Labeler will be slightly delayed due to a need for EN plated parts. The client has elected to have us hold the feeder and ADT portion of this order that will be done next week until the labeler is ready to ship with so that the order can ship as a whole. Assuming we don’t have any delay beyond what we are projecting for a arrival date of the parts for the labeler, this order will still ship in January. 1/5: Feeder in burn in. Drop table needs to be finished. Four build in house parts that will need plating (8" labeler). Clay will find out from customer if they want to split the shipment after determining when parts will come back. 12/21: On hold until last week of December. 12/15: FAT video needed for feeder and drop table. No video needed for Labeler as the client is unable to provide necessary samples. (Per Clay's phone discussion with Carl from B&R Moll)
