Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology Industrial Performance feeding, transport, and labeling system to feed carton blanks and apply labels to the blanks at a rate of up to 200 per minute. A MFT 350 Industrial Performance Friction Feeder will gently separate the carton blanks up to 300mm (11,81") wide from an inclined stack in the in feed magazine of the feeder. As the products are fed, they will be transported individually through the 375mm (14.76") long discharge of the feeder. The feeder will feed the carton blanks one at a time onto a Dual Discharge 450D 350 Vacuum Conveyor (900mm long) with consistent repeat. A Vacuum Track Assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber will be used to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. A Multifeeder Technology Impresso Labeler will be mounted over the vacuum conveyor to apply a label onto the carton blanks as they travel below. A customer supplied and integrated vision system will be used to verify proper placement of the labels and to grade the bar codes on the labels to be certain that they are B Grade or better. If a bar code is missing, placed incorrectly, or less than a B Grade the system will be signaled to stop and declare a fault and require and operator to remove the product in question and then reset. The feeder and labeling system will be mounted onto a Stand on Rollers for height adjustment and mobility. The verified carton blanks will be transferred onto a SC 2000-350 Shingling Conveyor (2000mm x 350mm) for further processing. The system will be configured with a transformer box assembly to accommodate 480 VAC Three Phase power and to properly step it down to 208 VAC single and 208 VAC three phase power for the feeding, transport, and labeling system. The Labeler will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the labeler to ensure that the label is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. Multifeeder's Engineering team will create a system drawing for customer approval. System Integration includes a Factory Acceptance Test to verify system performance before shipment. System Integration and testing includes testing of all individual pieces to perform as one complete system. Integration also includes testing of the feeding performance of each product size at the rate specified. Options available: An an option, a Reject on Error Gate with Controls can be added to allow the rejected cartons to be rejected below. Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.

Ship date delayed 1 week 8/31: Waiting on parts. 8/24: Waiting on parts. FAT document was sent to client on 8/22. Client communicated (due to out of office) they will respond on 8/28 8/17: Ship date moved to 10/10. All parts on order. 8/10: In procurement 7/20: In ME. Change to left hand driven discharge. Done by 7/26. 7/13: Design review with Integration yesterday. Changing the size of the vacuum conveyor. May potentially impact project lead time. Procurement needs to reprocess WO. 7/6: ME done and released to Clay. Not fully processed through procurement. Will check with Mark when he returns. 6/29: Need questions answered from Ed. Will get 8" labeler to hold the timeline. 6/22: Steve from Bio-Techne. Want shingling conveyor. Update so client can approve. 6/15: ME provided drawing 6/13. Client had questions in regard to length of shingling conveyor and possibility of vertical discharge. Mark following up with client. Will probably need secondary quote. 6/8: Order kicked off. In ME. Drawing due on or before 6/15. 6/1: Pending kick off 5/25: Payment on its way
