Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 550 IP3 XED Industrial Performance Series Friction Feeder system to tip albums in sleeves onto base products traveling on a Moll Folder Gluer machine at a rate of up to 150 per minute. The MFT 550 IP3 feeder will gently separate your products from in feed hopper of the feeder and will transport them individually onto the 375mm (14.86") long discharge of the feeder. The Moll machine will feed a base product, a glue machine shall apply glue to the base product, and the MFT 550 IP3 XED Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed a product onto the spot glued surface of the product traveling below by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. A Heavy Duty Rear Support Assembly will be used to support the stack from the back as the product are fed. The MFT 550 will feed the tip on product into the pinch point of a top belt assembly on the Moll machine to assure a positive transfer from the feeder onto the base product traveling below. An Electronic Interface Box Assembly will be used to signal the Moll machine to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. The feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the tip on insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This proposal assumes that Moll will mount, install, and integrate the feeder with the Moll folder gluer machine. Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates. Options Available: Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.
