Project Scope: This proposed system consists of two Multifeeder Technology feeding and transport systems to present pharmaceutical die cut paper sheets to be printed by a customer supplied and integrated Bell-Mark print system at a rate of up to 150 per minute. A Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 Friction Feeder will gently separate your die cut paper sheets from an inclined stack of the feeder. Dual Vacuum Track Assemblies each consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber will be used to best grip the sheets as they are fed. As the products are fed, they will be transported individually through the 375mm (14.76") long discharge of the feeder. Left and Right Funnel Guides will be used to register the products side to side as they are transferred from the feeder onto a Multifeeder Technology VTC 2000-550 Vacuum Track Conveyor (2000mm x 550mm) with consistent repeat. The vacuum conveyor will be equipped with a standard 9" wide vacuum belt. The feeder will be equipped with backer repeat mode consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the products are placed with consistent repeat regardless of the speed of the base machine. If the feeder runs empty or has a fault the transport will be signaled to stop. Three Emergency Stop buttons will be positioned along the conveyor to allow the operator to stop the system as needed. The E-Stop buttons will remove power from the motor drives of the transport but will keep the controls active. Next a customer supplied and integrated Bell-Mark HD Printer and LED Dryer will be straddle mounted over the conveyor to print on the die cut paper sheets at a rate of up to 150 per minute. The completed products will be transferred onto a Catch Tray Plate with magnetic side guides for further processing. Multifeeder's Engineering team will create a system drawing for customer approval. System Integration includes a Factory Acceptance Test to verify system performance before shipment. System Integration and testing includes testing of all individual pieces to perform as one complete system. Integration also includes testing of the feeding performance of each product size at the rate specified. A detailed set up video will be created showing step by step how to set up and operate the equipment with each of the different samples provided at the rates specified prior to shipment. Options Available: Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Sensor Assembly, and standard feeder installation.
