Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a used/reconditioned MFT 250 IP ED Industrial Performance “IP” Series Friction feeder system (2013 model serial number 1346-08887) to tip phone cards and other products up to up to 200mm wide (7.87”) onto the in feed conveyor of your card sorting machine with consistent repeat at a rate of up to 500 per minute. The MFT 250 Friction Feeder will gently separate your products up to 200mm wide from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder. As the products are fed, they will be transported individually through the 200mm long discharge of the feeder. The feeder will also be equipped with the latest version of Card Line Software to allow each feeder to be controlled via the serial port. A plug is included to allow PLI to wire their signal interface to the MFT 250. The feeder will also be equipped with Card Line Software along with an encoder that can be mounted onto your base conveyor to monitor its speed. As the speed of the base machine changes the card line software package varies the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the cards are placed accurately at the same spacing regardless of the speed of the base machine. Each feeder can be controlled using commands given through the serial port. The feeder will be configured with High Performance consisting of a software key to allow the feeder to run with higher acceleration, deceleration , and speed to accommodate running at a rate of 500 per minute. This also includes aluminum pulleys and a cooling fan to accommodate the higher acceleration, deceleration, and speed. Options Available: The feeder can be equipped with optional dual vacuum track assemblies consisting of a feed belt with holes and a vacuum chamber to allow the feeder to better grip the product. Other options include a Low Product Sensor Assembly, a spare parts kit, and standard feeder installation.
