Project Scope: The proposed system consists of four MFT 250 Industrial Performance “IP” Series XLD Friction Feeder systems(CE Compliant) to feed leaflets up to 200mm (7.87") wide to be bar code verified by a customer supplied and integrated bar code reader system at a rate of up to 150 per minute. The feeders will shipped directly to Alcon at their Cork facility in Ireland and will be configured the same as the feeders previously provided to Alcon. Each MFT 250 IP Friction feeder will be equipped with two 30mm purple feed belts and will gently separate your products from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder. As the products are fed, they will be transported individually through the 600mm (23.64") long discharge of the feeder. Left and Right Discharge Side Guides (XLD Size 600mm long with 150mm support rods) will be used to be certain that the products are straight as they travel on the discharge of the feeder. Two 50mm Rear Supports will be used to support the stack from the rear as the products are fed. A customer supplied and integrated bar code reader system will provide a closed contact to the feeder's Low Product Sensor connector to signal the feeder to stop if a no read or a bad read occurs. This proposal assumes that Brunel will mount, install, and integrate the feeder with bar code reader system. Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates Options available: Each Feeder can be equipped with optional natural colored rough (SE) 30mm feed belts instead of the purple feed belts for longer belt life(recommended). Each feeder can be equipped with 50% gearing to allow for greater separation of the products as they travel on the feeder discharge. An Optional Vacuum Track Assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber can be used to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. The feeder can be signaled to feed via an optional Standard Interface Cable Assembly or by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. The feeder can be equipped with a signal light as an option. Other options include a Spare Parts Kit and Standard Feeder installation.
