Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 550 Industrial Performance “IP” Series Friction Feeder system to feed cardboard cake bases from 100mm to 406mm wide onto a host conveyor with consistent repeat at a rate of up to 30 meters per minute. The MFT 550 feeder will gently separate the card board sheets from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder. As the products are fed, they will be transported individually through the 375mm long discharge of the feeder. The MFT 550 IP XED Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed cake bases onto the conveyor with consistent repeat by the host machine using a Standard Interface Cable Assembly. The host conveyor can also provide a closed contact to the feeder via the Low Product Port to signal the feeder to stop on the next product (Clear Command). The feeder will be configured with Accutipping Repeat with encoder to allow the feeder to adjust for ramp up and ramp down of the host conveyor and will allow the feeder to pause automatically if the host conveyor stops. The feeder will be configured with 225mm wide side plates, four sets of feed belts, four sets of discharge belts, and three 75mm wide rear support curve assemblies. Brunel Engineering will be responsible for the mounting, installation, and integration of the feeder with the host conveyor. As an option, Multifeeder can provide installation and integration services at our standard rates. Options Available: An Optional Vacuum Track Assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber can be used to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly and Standard Feeder installation.
