Project Scope: The proposed system consists of (3) MFT IP 350 XED Industrial Performance Friction Feeders to separate and feed your products from a stack in the in feed hopper. As the products are fed they will be accurately counted and scanned for Multiple Products, Product Jams and Product Misfeeds to ensure an accurate count. If a feeder has a Multiple Product or Product Length detection the feeders will output a signal to Packaging Specialties (reject signal). Packaging Specialties will need to provide isolation between the feeder system and their system using a low current draw relay (10mA) or an opto to get the signal. The product will then be transferred into the (3) ADT 350XLT Automatic Drop Tables where the product will be accumulated. Once the batch count has been reached the feeder will pause until a lug is detected by the start sensor. Once a start pulse is received the feeder will drop the stack of products and automatically begin counting the next batch. Three other MFT ip 350ED Industrial Performance Friction Feeders will be used to feed a single carbon sheet, cover sheet and backer sheet onto the top or bottom of the stack once a lug is detected by a start sensor. The feeders will be mounted onto a Cantilevered Stand which will allow the system to go inline or 90 degrees to your existing conveyor. A Relay Interface Box will be provided with each feeder to supply independent feeder output stop faults for Packaging Specialties to process (dry contact). System integration is as defined: Multifeeder will be responsible for mounting a docking rail to the lugged in feed and mounting all feeders to the docking rail. Multifeeder will provide docking stations for each feeder so if the feeder is removed it can be moved back into the same location between two points. Multifeeder will assist with applying power to the wrapper. System integration also includes wiring the reject signal from the feeder to flying leads for Packaging Specialty to process. Packaging Specialties will be responsible for uncrating the wrapper and setting up the wrapper for operation on Multifeeder's floor. Packaging Specialties will be responsible for the operation of the wrapper and re-crating of the system. Packaging Specialties is responsible for all other integration requirements. Optional items: Vacuum Chambers for increase feeding performance, Automatic Product Loader for increased loading capacity, ADT Stack Jogger to jog the collected stack during the feed cycle.
