Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Industrial Performance tipping system to insert a folded leaflet inside a folded leaflet at a rate of up to 200 per minute with an accuracy of +/- 1/8" with a confidence of 90 %. An MFT 250 IP XED Industrial Performance Friction Feeder will feed the folded inserts one at a time onto a VTC 2000-550 Vacuum Track Conveyor (2000mm long and 550 mm wide) with consistent repeat. The folded insert will travel on the conveyor over a small delron ramp and will be held down by a top hold down assembly to curl open the folded leaflet. A small air jet will insert a small amount of air into the leaflet to help open the leaflet. The leaflet will be plow folded open. Next a second MFT 250 IP XED Friction feeder will be Straddle Mounted over the conveyor to feed a folded leaflet onto the open leaflet traveling below. The MFT 250 feeder will be configured with Continuosu Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder mounted to the line and software and hardware to vary the speed and timing of the feeder to be certain that the card is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. Next an inline folding device will plow fold shut the leaflet to create a leaflet inside of a leaflet. The completed products can be transferred onto an SC 2000-350 Shingling Conveyor (2000mm x 350mm) for further processing. Mechanical Engineering will create a conceptual system drawing for customer approval. System Integration includes a Factory Acceptance Test to verify system performance before shipment. System Integration and testing includes testing of all individual pieces to perform as one complete system. Integration also includes testing of the feeding performance of each product size at the rate specified. A detailed set up video will be created showing step by step how to set up and operate the equipment with each of the different samples provided at the rates specified prior to shipment. Options available: Each feeder can be configured with optional Multiple Product Detection (Double Detection). Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.
