Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 Industrial Performance XED Friction Feeder with 375mm (14.76”) extended discharge to tip hang tags up to 200mm (7.87”) wide onto bottles as they travel on an existing conveyor at a rate of up to 200 per minute. The height of the top of the bottles are 49" high on the conveyor traveling at 100 feet per minute with a 6-7" pitch at a rate of up to 200 per minute. The feeder will be mounted over the existing conveyor on a Multifeeder Technology CSR 1000-250 Cantilever Stand on Rollers (bottom of stand to clear 53" high). The feeder will gently separate your products from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder. As the products are fed, they will be transported individually through the 375mm (14.76") long discharge of the feeder. The MFT 250 Friction feeder will be signaled to feed by a Photo Optic Start Sensor to tip a product up to 200mm (7.87”) into the pinch point of a Driven Pressure Roller Assembly onto the bottle traveling below. The Driven Pressure Roller will use an encoder to monitor the speed of the line and will drive the product onto the bottle at the same speed as the conveyor traveling below. The feeder will be equipped with Continuous Motion Accutipping controls that uses an encoder to monitor the speed of the base machine. The computer timing compensation package of the feeder will change the speed and timing of the feeder to be certain that the tags are placed correctly onto the bottle regardless of the speed of the base machine. The feeder proposed is not washdown grade and will need to be covered during cleaning. System Integration and testing includes testing of all individual pieces to perform as one complete system. System Integration also includes testing of the feeding performance of each product size at the rate specified as well as creating a detailed set up video showing step by step how to set up and operate the equipment with each of the different samples provided at the rates specified prior to shipment. Options Available: Optional Left and Right Discharge Side Guides can be used to be certain that the products are straight as they are fed and transferred onto the bottles. An optional APL 2000-250 Automatic Product Loader (2000mm x 250mm) can be used for increased in feed magazine capacity. Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, A Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder Installation.
