Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 350 Industrial Performance friction feeder system to feed batches of 30 post cards into an IMCT 350 Adjustable Depth and Width Catch Tray. The MFT 350 Friction Feeder will gently separate your products from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder. As the products are fed, they will be transported individually through the 200mm (7.87") long discharge of the feeder. The cards will be tranferred one at a time into a IMCT 350 Adjustable Depth and Width Catch Tray where they will be stacked an accumulated. A Photo Optic Start Sensor will be mounted on the top of the tray to signal the feeder to replenish the tray once a stack is removed. The MFT 350 Industrial Performance “IP” Series ED Friction Feeder system with 200mm (7.87") extended discharge can also be used to feed various products up to 300mm (11.81”) wide onto a Moll folder gluer machine at a rate of up to 300 per minute. The Moll machine will feed a base sheet, and the MFT 350 IP ED Friction Feeder will be signaled by a Photo Optic Start Sensor to feed a product into the pinch point of a top belt assembly on the Moll machine. Left and Right Discharge Side Guides will be used to be certain that the products are straight as they travel on the feeder discharge. The feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This feature also allows the operator to place two inserts one after another on a base card. Options available: The feeder system can be mounted onto an optional HDSR 1000-350 Stand on Rollers for height adjustment and mobility. Other options include a spare parts kit, a low product detect sensor assembly, and Standard Feeder Installation.
