Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a MFT 250 IP ED Industrial Performance Friction feeder system with 200mm (7.87") to insert a leaflet into the bucketed in feed of a Serpa 2000 MI AL (auto-load) horizontal cartoner at a rate of up to 60 per minute. The MFT 250 IP ED Friction feeder will mounted onto a HDSR 1000-250 Stand on Rollers over the in feed of the Serpa Cartoner and will gently separate your sheets from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder. A bridge belt assembly will be used to accomodae the 35mm long product to transfer it from the feed belt section into the discharge section. The feeder will be signaled to feed a leaflet into the bucketed in-feed (8" pitch apart) by the Serpa machine using a Standard Interface Cable Assembly. A customer supplied and integrated glue system will apply glue to the leafet in the in-feed bucket. Next foil pouches will be added on top of the leaflets. These foil wrapped products with leaflets are inserted into cartons through a barrel cam feeder. An Electronic Interface Box Assembly will be used to signal the cartoner to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. Options available: As an option, the feeder can be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. Other options include a Spare Parts Kits, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation. Commission finder's fee of 10% to Bill O'Connell of Automatic Packaging Sales or $ 1,790.80.
