Project Scope: This proposal consists of an MFT 350 XLD Industrial Performance “IP” Series IP Friction Feeder system configured with a 600mm (23.62") long roller discharge to feed and separate backer cards up to 300mm (11.81”) wide to be labeled by a customer supplied and integrated Video Jet Laser marking machine as they travel on the feeder discharge at a rate of up to 160 feet per minute correlating to up to 350 products per minute. The Ink Jet or Laser machine can be mounted directly onto the discharge of the MFT 350 IP XLD Friction Feeder to label the backer cards as they are fed. An APL 2000-350 Automatic Product Loader (2000mm x 350mm) will be used for increased in feed magazine capacity. Air injection side guides will be used to blow air in the side of the stack to help the feeder best separate the products before they are fed. Dual Vacuum Track Assemblies consisting of a vacuum chamber and feed belts with holes that travel over the chambers to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. Left and Right Discharge Side guides will be used to be certain that the products are straight as they are fed. The completed cards can be fed onto an optional Multifeeder SC 2000-350 (2000mm x 350mm) Shingling Conveyor for further processing or into an optional IMCT 350 Adjustable Depth and Width Catch Tray. A Photo Optic Start Sensor can be mounted in the tray to signal the feeder to replenish the tray once a stack is removed. . The feeder system will be mounted onto a HDSR 1000-350 Stand on Rollers for height adjustment and mobility. Abacus Automation will be responsible for system integration and testing. As an option Multifeeder can provide integration services at our stand rates. Also included in the proposal is for an evaluation by TUV to verify that the system is compliant with UL508a/NFPA79 (for up to 3 feeders). In addition the Friction Feeder system is compliant with the following: EN60204 Safety of Machinery - Electrical Equipment of Machines ISO 12100 Safety of Machinery - Basic Concepts EN1050 Risk assessment (called out by ISO12100) The proposed system consists of two Multifeeder Technology 250 ED Industrial Performance Friction Feeders with 200mmm ( 7.87") extended discharge to feed products up to 200mm (7.87") wide one at a time a catch tray at a rate of up to 30 batches of eight per minute. Each feeder will gently separate products up to 200mm (7.87") wide onto the feeder discharge. Left and Right Discharge Side Guides will be used to be certain that the product are straight as they travel on the feeder discharge. A customer supplied and integrated Video Jet laser printer will be used to print on the cards as they travel on the feeder discharge. The products will be transferred one at a time into an IMCT 250 Adjustable Depth and Width Catch Tray where they will be stacked and accumulated. A Photo Optic Start Sensor will be mounted in the tray to signal the feeder to replenish the tray once the stack has been removed from the tray.
