Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a clear polyethylene bag with resealable zipper top up to 500mm (19.68") wide onto a Vacuum Track Conveyor, apply hot melt glue to the pouch and apply a tax coupon to the spot glued surface at a rate of up to 80 per minute with a tolerance of +/- 2mm. This proposal is contingent upon a successful test of a stack of customer-supplied samples. An MFT 550 XED Industrial Performance “IP” Series Friction Feeder with 375mm (14.76") extended discharge will be mounted onto an HDSR 1000-550 Stand on Rollers. This feeder will be equipped with an APL 2000-550 Automatic Product Loader to allow for an optimum stack height in the in feed magazine of the feeder and for increased in feed magazine capacity. Dual Vacuum Track Assemblies consisting of feed belts with holes and vacuum chambers will be used to help the feeder best grip the poly pouches as they are fed one at a time onto a VTC 2000-550 Vacuum Track Conveyor (550mm wide and 2 meters long) at a consistent repeat. A Static Reduction station consisting of a power supply and a static bar mounted on the top and bottom of the product as they are fed will be used to reduce static on the clear pouches as they are fed. The Vacuum Track Conveyor 550mm (22” wide) and 2m (6.6ft) long will be equipped with vacuum belts that run over vacuum chambers that guide the belt side to side that are approximately 1.67m long (65”). Each vacuum chamber track has two vacuum flow controls (one for front half and one for back half). The complete tracks with belts are mounted onto extruded aluminum rails to allow the entire track to be adjusted side to side. These belts are also configured with guides to support the belt from side to side as it travels down the conveyor. A vacuum pump will be used that is an oil-free, contactless, regenerative blower capable of 221 cfm (at atmosphere), and a maximum vacuum capability of 85 inH2O. This vacuum blower is equipped with a 2.55kW, 3 phase, TEFC motor suitable for use on 200-275/380-480volt, 50/60Hz, 3450 rpm electrical service. Integral silencer and suction mesh to supply vacuum to the system. A Hot Melt Glue system with two glue guns will be used to apply four beads of glue to the base product. Next an MFT 250 ED Industrial Performance “IP” Series Friction feeder with 200mm (7.87") extended discharge will be straddle mounted to feed a Tax Stamp into the pinch point of a Pressure Roller Assembly to assure proper placement of the tax stamp onto the spot glued surface. An air tamp with control will gently push on the stamp to be certain that it is properly adhered to the spot glued surface. Small product change parts consisting of a top and bottom bridge belt assembly will be used to accommodate the 20mm x 40mm product. Hard carcass discharge belts will be used to hold the product from the top and the bottom for optimum performance. The stamp feeder will be configured with Left and Right Discharge Side Guides to be certain that the products are straight as they are fed. Continuous Motion Accutipping consists of an encoder mounted to the line and software and hardware to vary the speed and timing of the feeder to be certain that the tax stamp is placed in the correct location regardless of the speed of the base conveyor. The completed products will be transferred onto an SC 2000-550 Shingling Conveyor (variable speed) where they can be accumulated. Integration also includes uncrating the Hot Melt Glue system and configuring and testing the system to feed your products. System Integration also includes testing of the feeding performance of each product size at the rate specified as well as creating a detailed set up video showing step by step how to set up and operate the equipment including the Hot Melt system with each of the different samples provided at the rates specified prior to shipment. A Standard Spare Parts Kit is included.
