Project Scope: The system will print and apply labels and verify the barcode on the base product. First, a product will be loaded into the magazine of the MFT 250 Value Series ED Friction Feeder, which is straddle mounted over the APL 1000 250 Automatic Product Loader. The feeder will keep the APL supplied with product. The product will be transferred from the APL to an MFT 550 Industrial Performance SLD Friction Feeder with 900mm (35.43") extended discharge. The feeder will separate the products onto the feeder discharge. A Multifeeder PA 150 Print and Apply Labeling machine will print labels and apply them to the products as they travel on the feeder discharge. An integrated Microscan MS-9 series barcode scanner will learn a barcode and will read each code as the product travels on the feeder discharge. If a no-read occurs or the wrong code is present, the feeder will stop. If the barcode is read and is good, the product will be transferred into a IMCT Adjustable Depth and Width Catch tray.
