Project Scope: An MFT 250 Industrial Performance series “IP” ED Friction feeder system to feed and bar code scan batches of 5 or 10 cards into a customer supplied and integrated AB 180 Autobag one step bagging machine at a rate of up to 15 batches per minute. The MFT 250 IP ED Friction feeder will feed the cards one at a time into customer supplied and Integrated Tray where they will be stacked and accumulated. A customer supplied and integrated bar code reader system will be mounted directly on the discharge of the feeder to scan the cards as they are fed. The customer will integrate their computer with the bar code reader to receive the bar codes from the scanner as they are fed and scanned. The feeder will be equipped with an Input Output Board on the MFT 250 IP ED Friction Feeder that will allow the Oberthur system to communicate with the feeder system using up to 8 inputs and 8 outputs with the feeder. The Autobag machine will signal an Oberthur supplied and integrated tray to activate the pusher and to comb the completed stack off of the tray and transfer the completed stack into the AB 180 bagging machine. Once a stack has been pushed into the bagger it will return to the home position and signal the feeder to replenish the stack of products in catch tray. The feeder system mounting will be provided by Oberthur. An optional APL 2000-250 Automatic Product Loader will be used for increased in feed magazine capacity and to allow for an optimum stack height in the in feed magazine of the feeder. The feeder will be configured so that an optional APL 2000-250 Automatic Product Loader can be added at a later date.
