Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology Inc. tipping system to feed a Gusseted pouch up to 300mm wide (11.81") onto a Vacuum Track Conveyor, apply glue to the pouch, and apply tax coupon to the spot glued surface at a rate of up to 150 per minute with a tolerance of +/- 2mm. An MFT 550 XED Industrial Performance “IP” Series Friction Feeder with 375mm (14.76") extended discharge will be straddle mounted onto their VTC 2000-550. The base feeder (MFT 550) is equipped with Dual Vacuum Track Assemblies consisting of feed belts with holes and vacuum chambers and will be used to help the feeder best grip your products as they are fed. This feeder will also be equipped with an APL 1000-350 Automatic Product Loader positioned at 90 degrees in repsct to the feeder to allow for an optimum stack height in the infeed magazine of the feeder and for increased infeed magazine capacity. Also included in the base of the APL is our Low Product Sensor so that when the pouch supply level reaches a certain quantity position, the 3-stage Signal Light will flash “yellow” to notify the operator to replenish the APL table with more pouches. These components will feed the Gusseted pouches one at a time onto a VTC 2000-550 Vacuum Track Conveyor (550mm wide and 2 meters long). A NORDSON Hot Melt Glue system will be used to apply glue to the base product. The Vacuum Track Conveyor will be equipped with three side to side adjustable belt tracks all plumbed with vacuum having flow control on the 1st half of the belts as it travels on the vacuum conveyor and a second flow control for the second half of the vacuum track as it travels on the vacuum conveyor. These belts are also configured with guides to support the belt from side to side as it travels down the conveyor. Next an MFT 250 ED Industrial Performance “IP” Series Friction feeder with 200mm (7.87") extended discharge will be straddle mounted to feed a Tax Stamp into the pinch point of a Pressure Roller Assembly to assure proper placement of the tax stamp onto the spot glued surface. Small product change parts consisting of a top and bottom bridge belt assembly will be used to accommodate the 20mm x 40mm product. A static reduction station consisting of a power supply and a static reduction bar will be mounted on the top and bottom of the feeder’s discharge section in order to reduce static on the Tax Stamp as they are being fed. Each feeder will be configured with Left and Right Discharge Side Guides to be certain that the pouches are straight as they are fed. Continuous Motion Accutipping consists of an encoder mounted to the line and software and hardware to vary the speed and timing of the feeder to be certain that the Tax Stamp is placed in the correct location regardless of the speed of the base conveyor. The completed products will be transferred into an IMCT 550 Adjustable Depth and Width Catch Tray. A Photo Optic Start Sensor will be mounted in the tray to signal the system to replenish the tray once a stack is removed. Integration also includes uncrating the Hot Melt Glue system and configuring and testing the system to feed your products. System Integration also includes testing of the feeding performance of each product size at the rate specified as well as creating a detailed set up video showing step by step how to set up and operate the equipment including the Hot Melt system with each of the different samples provided at the rates specified prior to shipment. Options available: Other options include a spare parts kit. Start up assistance at your location can be purchased, plus travel and living expenses that are billed at actual cost. Additional hours are available at our standard rates. We recommend that the technician set up the equipment at your facility and train your personnel on proper operation, adjustments and maintenance. Equipment not manufactured by Multifeeder is quoted on the basis of proposals from the vendor. Price changes from the vendor will be adjusted at the time of your order. This proposal reflects the use of Multifeeder Technology’s standard specifications. Any alteration to this proposal will be on a time and materials basis. Technical support will be scheduled after a signed purchase order has been received by Multifeeder Technology. Please allow enough time for your purchase order to be received before scheduling service support. A second purchase order has been added to cover the changes to the work order.
